Scrip Program Changes Effective April 1, 2008
In order to improve the efficiency and profitability of the Scrip program for the schools and our parents, the Finance Committee has made the decision to discontinue the holding of inventory in our buildings. The reasons for the decision are:
The school cannot afford to hold $7,000-$10,000 in inventory. This ties up needed cash for school operations.
Looking at other Scrip programs we found that most, if not all, did not hold inventory. All purchases were placed on an order basis.
Currently only 30% of our families use the scrip program and of that only 5% purchase without pre-ordering.
This change is part of an ongoing effort to improve efficiencies in our business office and save costs.
The potential of the Scrip program is much greater than currently utilized. As a matter of fact, it is the only fundraising program the school offers that does not cost our parents additional money. In other words, the money you spend on Scrip is money you would have otherwise spent on needed items.
As always, orders are placed on Monday mornings by 8:30am. You may call 983-5529, fax 983-5520, or send your order with your child and have them turn it in to the office promptly.

We sincerely hope this change will not cause any inconvenience to you and thank you for your continued patronage.
