Class of 1939 - St. Joseph Ponies 

Was an outstanding football player (he was THE TEAM) from 1936 – 38.
St. Joseph Ponies M.V.P. Award in 1938 & 1939- Junior & Senior Years.
Biggest thrill was beating Benton Harbor St. Johns in football 3 of my 4 years & tying them the third year (my Junior season).
Played sports for the St. Joseph Ponies in 1935, 36, 37, 38 & the spring of 39.
Won 1^st District Basketball Championship in 1939.
Won District and Regionals and took 3^rd in State Track Meet in 1939.
Defeated Benton Harbor. St. Johns Ponies in football- 35, 36 & 38, tied in 37.

College
Won a Varsity Football Letter his first and only year at Ferris State.

After High School & College
Played basketball and baseball with Selfridge Base Teams in 1942 & 1943.
Nuke became the first black salaried personnel at Oldsmobile Division GM in 1963.
