Attended the University of Notre Dame on a baseball scholarship, and played in the NCAA regional baseball tournament

Professionally
Signed professional baseball contract with the Detroit Tigers…short lived career, but so exciting!
Returned to the area and coached St. Johns 7th/8th grade basketball teams, the LMC 9th grade girls basketball team/2yrs, St. Johns baseball team/1yr.
Conducted open gym for LMC JR/SR high school students on Saturdays from noon to 6 pm during basketball season for 8 yrs.

Served on the Lake Michigan Catholic Schools Board of Education for 2 three-year terms.  During that time, the new LMC Elementary School was built on Washington Avenue.


Owns Stouffer Electric in St. Joseph & Benton Harbor area.
In his profession as an Electrical Contractor:
Elected to the Academy of Electrical Contracting
Serves as District IV VP for National Electrical Contractors Association.

Always a very good friend of the community & the school.
