LMC Parents Praying Together meets on Tuesdays from 1:30-2:30 in the music room at the elementary school.  Child care is provided in the After school/JK room.  Meetings are open to all Laker PS-12 parents.

What is LMC PPT? 

We are a prayer group, anchored in our Catholic faith.  We meet weekly for one hour and take turns praying for each other’s children.  We pray for teachers and faculty and school concerns.  We also include any prayer requests we receive from our Laker Family in our prayer request electronic mailbox (see below).  In addition, over the course of the school year, we pray for the entire student body. 

Why should you consider joining this group? 

This is such an incredible way to experience the power of prayer, not to mention, to form close bonds with other parents within our school family.   LMC PPT is a worthwhile and rewarding commitment.   

A story we would like to share involves one of our teachers.   

While walking through the halls one day last year, a PPT parent was stopped by a teacher.  The teacher stated that a few days earlier, she had been very overwhelmed and having a very tough time of it.  She knew that the LMC PPT group was meeting that day, and she decided to submit a prayer request in our mailbox (which was located in the office).  Upon arriving to the office, the teacher noticed something in her mailbox.  Coincidentally, it was a note from the LMC PPT telling her that she was a selected teacher they would be praying for that day and the remainder of the week.  At that moment, the teacher felt tremendous relief and comfort.  Through heartfelt tears, the teacher expressed her gratefulness for our school’s group.  

This is just one example of numerous others that displays the importance of this group and what it brings to our Laker Family.  Won’t you please consider joining LMC PPT?  We look forward to seeing you at the meeting!

LMC PPT Prayer Request Electronic Mailbox Information

We would like to take this opportunity to let you know that our Lake Michigan Catholic Elementary, Middle, and High School now have an electronic prayer request mailbox.  Any issues that you would like included in our weekly prayer chain should be submitted to prayerrequest@lmclakers.org.  

These prayer requests can/may include illness within a family or extended family; need for parental comfort; or any other strain or stress you or a loved one may be experiencing.  You may choose to include name(s) or remain anonymous.  An example might be: “Please pray for a parent who is struggling with a difficult situation,” or “Please pray for a grandparent who is having surgery.”  You also may want to include how long you would like your request to remain on our prayer request list. 

These requests are retrieved with complete confidentiality and prayed for by a small group of parents with the utmost respect for privacy.
