Congressman Fred Upton will visited LMC's 7th grade students on April 10th to discuss the crisis in Darfur, Sudan.   Mrs. Helen Koch's 7th grade Social Studies students completed a project on Darfur, which included researching the history of the unrest in Darfur, finding newspaper articles about the current situation there, and discussing Social Justice - What are we called to do as Catholic Americans?

Students also wrote letters to President Bush, Condoleeza Rice, Senators, and members of Congress.  Congressman Upton's visit is in response to the letters he received from our students.
