Hannah Kessler Wins 3rd Place in State DAR Competition |
Congratulations to Lake Michigan Catholic 7th grader Hannah Kessler, who recently earned 3rd place honors in the state DAR American History Essay Contest! Her essay about Paul Revere advanced to the state level after winning first place in the district level of the competition earlier this year.
The DAR
encourages students in grades five through eight to participate
in the contest. Each year a selected topic for use during the
academic year is announced and contest instructions are sent to
the schools by participating chapters. Essays are judged for
historical accuracy, adherence to topic, organization of
materials, interest, originality, spelling, grammar,
punctuation, and neatness.
