Reports

Pastor’s Report
Confirmation went well at both parishes.  All is going well, no problems to report.

Administration Reports
John Berlin
submitted a written report.  We have gotten confirmation that Bishop Bradley will celebrate our Baccalaureate Mass during graduation week.  We are still deciding on a Graduation speaker.  Starting in the second semester, we will institute a pilot program in the middle/high school.  We will begin the school day at 8:15AM one day a week.  With this time, our faculty will have a chance to work together on school goals.  There is a need for the faculty to be able to collaborate on a regular basis, and trying to do this at the end of the school day was not effective.  Students arriving at the normal time will be supervised until the start of class time.

Jody Maher submitted a written report.  Exciting news- an anonymous donor has funded a new sign for the front of the ES property.  The sign will be complete with electronic message board and will be near the north drive in front of the ES.  Work should begin soon.

Gerald Heath submitted a written report.  Fall sports have ended, winter sports have begun with middle school basketball already in action.  We hosted volleyball districts, and will host both boys & girls basketball districts in March.

School Improvement Committee met on Oct. 11.  We were commended on our accreditation.  There were no issues at all for the Elementary School.  We need to have all of our coaches Virtus trained.    Also, it was recommended that we hold a retreat for our High School faculty.

Next CCEC open meeting to be scheduled for January 20, 2011.

Motion to adjourn by Carol Oehlhaffen, supported by Doug McQuillan.
Meeting adjourned at 8:08PM by Rusty Cutter.
