Minutes of Open Meeting
September 16, 2010 

Meeting called to order at 7:04 by President Rusty Cutter. 

Father Bill Jacobs gave the opening prayer and Pledge of Allegiance. 

Present:  Dave Boelcke, Gary Bruce, Rusty Cutter, Frank DeFrancesco, Orla Mileski, Carol Oehlhaffen, Father Jacobs, John Berlin, Gerald Heath, Doug McQuillan, Father Morris, Jody Maher.
Excused: Bill Grover 

Previous minutes:  approved as presented with a motion by Gary Bruce
Supported by:  Frank DeFancesco 

REPORTS 

Pastors Report
Father Jacobs:  Father Bill and Father Jim presented the confirmation schedules for both parishes.  Both pastors asked if the commission had any questions. 

President’s Report:  No Report 

ADMINISTRATION REPORTS
John Berlin:  John Berlin announced that the budget was approved by the Pastors.  He also mentioned that Cindy was working hard to implement the new accounting software.  He reminded the commission of the date, time, and location for the Strategic Planning Meeting.  John shared that we were approved to offer Chemistry and Biology as a shared program with the college.  John finished by explaining our title funds from St. Joseph and Benton Harbor.     

Jody Maher:  Jody mentioned that parents are beating down the door for afternoon daycare.  She also explained that the tuition for daycare covers the cost of a teacher and supplies.     

Gerald Heath:  Gerald gave a quick overview of the spring athletic accomplishments.  He also discussed some of the infrastructure projects he and Tom were hoping to complete over the school year.  Gerald finished up by discussing some of the early success in fall athletics.
